For this mural, I reimagined one of Sugar House’s most recognizable icons—the Sugar House Whale—as part of a playful, unexpected world where it swims alongside Trader Joe's Scandinavian Swimmers. Using bold, confident line work and a vibrant yet carefully controlled color palette, I blended the charm of local culture with Trader Joe’s signature whimsy. The result is a piece that feels both familiar and delightfully surprising—celebrating community identity while adding a splash of humor and imagination to the space.
