I designed a large-scale mural for Trader Joe’s in Cottonwood Heights, creating a vibrant, old-fashioned “Welcome To” postcard that celebrates Utah’s personality and landscape. Spanning approximately 5.5 feet tall by 18 feet long, the mural features bold, colorful imagery inspired by the state’s love for the outdoors, with its iconic mountain scenery taking center stage. I thoughtfully composed the piece to complement the flower display positioned in front of it, ensuring the mural and its surroundings feel cohesive and inviting. Playful, hyper-local details—like the famous Utah fry sauce and green Jell-O—add charm and specificity, while a signature Trader Joe’s stamp ties the design back to the brand, making the mural both a visual landmark and a memorable customer experience.
